Just as elements of the economy in many states were starting to reopen, George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis Police Officer, and huge, waves of protests broke out for weeks.  The fear was that millions of people jammed closely together would act as super spreaders of coronavirus.

Now there's new research out on whether protest-linked infections materialized.
