Trump didn't release his taxes in 2016, and it didn't matter; will his mysterious tax returns play a factor in 2020?

The predictions in 2016 were that President Trump's refusal to release his tax returns was going to seriously damage his chances.  After all, then candidate Trump was upending decades of presidential tradition in releasing their taxes.

In the end, it didn't matter.  Even after today's twin Supreme Court rulings that the president's financial records are fair game for congressional & Manhattan D.A. investigators, voters likely won't see the Trump tax returns before election today.  So in 2020, will his taxes be a factor on the campaign trail?
