That pandemic thing? Still happening; and large protests could be the perfect way to spread coronavirus

Throughout the novel coronavirus pandemic, public health doctors can point to a handful of events like concerts, clubs and crowded professional sports stadiums that acted as "super spreaders" for the virus.  If the recipe for quick transmission of COVID-19 is lots of people crowded together for long periods of time, the protests over the past week could easily become one of those events.

There will be close attention paid to the rate and locations of new COVID outbreaks in the coming weeks, and if they can be traced back to protests.
