Major hospitals in Florida, Texas, Arizona and California are rapidly filling up with sick COVID patients.  There are reports of shortages of personal protective equipment and increasingly, front line doctors and nurses are getting sick themselves.  Hospitals are spending almost as much time battling COVID contamination within their facilities as they are treating patients.

So we're going to take you inside the emergency department of one of the biggest medical centers in the country to hear how they're managing.

Dr. Nathan Kuppermann is chair of the emergency medicine department at UC Davis Medical Center.
