There's no question that the SBA's payroll protection program was likely responsible for keeping thousands of small businesses afloat during the coronavirus-induced economic lockdown.  But we now know that plenty of business owners who are quite affluent and with influential political connections also got a lot of government money.

Just some of the examples of businesses that received government loans:  the family business of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao........the Archdiocese of New York.......several businesses connected to Jared Kushner's family.......a ton of political organizations, ranging from the Ohio Democratric Party to the Women’s National Republican Club of New York.......rock super-group The Eagles.
