Latest victim of the coronavirus outbreak: the global economy

As the infection rate from coronavirus shows no signs of slowing down, the pandemic is about to claim a new victim: the global economy.  There are now hundreds of multinational companies that are warning investors they'll report slowing revenues and production due to the coronavirus outbreak in China, since that country has been on virtual quarantine lockdown for almost two months.

Apple says its production lines have been badly hurt by the coronavirus; it's the same for General Motors, as assembly lines have remained paralyzed.  Pretty much any company that makes anything in China has seen a negative impact.
