KNX InDepth President's Day Special

KNX In Depth
Friday, February 15th
Welcome to a special President’s Day edition podcast of In Depth.

It’s impossible to mark this President’s Day without acknowledging the huge changes, both in style and substance, that President Trump has brought to the White House over his two years in office. Presidents used to be very careful and cautious about their public behavior; presidents would rarely criticize their predecessors. These two conventions have been tossed out the window by President Trump, but while he’s accelerated changes in the Oval Office, those changes didn’t start with him.

Think Bill Clinton playing the saxophone on Arsenio Hall or George W. Bush telling off-color jokes…..or Barack Obama going on YouTube. We’ll get into all of it on this special In Depth podcast.

We’re joined by two presidential historians……….Julian Zelizer is a professor of history and public affairs at Princeton. And Jon Grinspan is the curator of political and military history at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
