New York City's potential loss might just be Los Angeles's potential gain. With reports that Amazon is souring on building its second headquarters in the New York neighborhood of Long Island City due to rampant local opposition, L.A. could step in as a new welcoming host. Speaking of Amazon, it's chief executive and founder Jeff Bezos dropped an absolute bombshell with implications that will resonate for a long time: Bezos says the National Enquirer threatened to publish intimate pictures of him unless he told the Washington Post, which Bezos owns, to back off investigating the tabloid.
