One day after the 850-year-old cathedral was heavily damaged by fire, hundreds of millions of dollars have been pledged to rebuild the soul of France--and France's President has promised the job will be done within 5 years. As wildfires in California get more deadly and destructive, many politicians and policy experts have advised that it's time to make it more difficult to build homes in wild land areas where wildfires are routine.
