The combination of an anti-malaria drug with a commonly used antibiotic was touted by none other than President Trump in the early days of the coroanvirus outbreak as a possible treatment for COVID-19.  Unfortunately some people jumped at the president's recommendation, with deadly results.  But there are clinical trials underway to see if the combo of Z-pack antibiotic with Hydroxychloroquine can be effective.

Because even though doctors warned of abundant risks of embracing this treatment without better research, there is some potential it could work.
