Opening day of any baseball season is when hope springs eternal for your team.  Championship hopes are still alive, summer is coming, hot dogs and beer in packed bleachers...........there are few things more American than opening day of baseball.  But opening day for the 2020 season is profoundly different.

No crowds......closed stadiums.......no games.  If nothing else tells the story of our current coronavirus shutdown, the nonexistant opening day of the baseball season is a depressing reminder of our reality.
