Daughter of Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Hoping Driver Will Come Forward


(KNX 1070) -- An emotional plea from a South LA family, asking that a hit and run driver who killed their mother step forward and take responsibility.

The accident at Imperial and Success Streets happened at 2 a.m. on July 29, where Sabrina Williams, 60,  was not only struck and killed, but the driver pulled a U-turn and drove by the body after the collision.  

Tanya Harper, daughter of Williams tried to hold in her emotions, but the tears came as she spoke about what she and others have lost with the death of her mother.

Police are looking for a 2015 or newer Toyota RAV 4 or another similar type of small dark in colored SUV, with front-end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD or toll-Freee Crimestoppers, and there is now a $50,000 reward for information on this case that leads to an arrest and conviction.
