KNX reporter Craig Fiegener:

Thousands of Halloween revelers will descend on West Hollywood Wednesday night for the city's annual  Carnaval.

The event starts at 6 p.m., but road closures will start Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

The Carnaval takes place along Santa Monica Boulevard between North Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard.   The event is known worldwide for the outlandish costumes often worn by party-goers.

Police are reminding those attending that public drinking is not allowed, and backpacks and camera cases will not be permitted.
