LAPD detectives have a solid lead on a car involved in a road rage incident that turned into a case of attempted murder.

A road rage incident on March 25 on the southbound 405 freeway resulted in the shooting of a victim in the Devonshire Area on Haskell Avenue south of Parthenia Street, according to the LAPD press release.

Devonshire detectives are looking to identify the suspect and/or vehicle in this incident.

The incident started when a pickup truck was nearly struck by another car and after the car left the freeway, the truck followed.

The man in the car got out on Haskell Street and as the truck drove by the driver allegedly opened fire with a handgun, hitting the car driver several times.

He is recovering from the attack.

Lt. Ray Lucas said they were fortunate to get images from a camera as the attack occurred.

The truck is a 1994-98 Chevy Silverado Z71 Model, a two-door either black or very dark green with a camper shell on the back.
