April 23, 2019 - 7:12 am

There's more information about two people whose bodies were found in a Newport Beach apartment.

A friend of  Wendi Miller says she was the chief executive of the nonprofit organization Wings for Justice.

Miller sent a text to friends and family Saturday morning saying she was okay.

She was last seen in Laguna Beach and her family contacted police when they couldn't reach her.  She and Darren Partch were found by his roommate on Sunday night.

Friends of Partch say he played minor league hockey for several teams over the years. He worked as a finance and credit consultant.

Police were on the scene at an apartment complex in Newport Beach Monday.

Police say a man returned home to the complex at 15th Street and Irvine Avenue and found his male roommate and a woman dead.

There aren't any details about how they died.

The apartment complex is across the street from Newport Harbor High School.
