Update: Lynwood City Employee Files Lawsuit Against the City, Could be More Alleged Victims

September 12, 2018 - 2:40 pm

(KNX 1070) - A lawsuit has been filed against the City of Lynwood and a city councilman with claims of sexual harassment and retaliation.

And the woman’s attorney says there is more than one victim.

KNX's Jon Baird:

The lawsuit is aimed at city councilman Edwin Hernandez for allegedly harassing another city employee Monica Ochoa.

Ochoa’s lawyer is Lisa Bloom and she says Ochoa is not the only woman accusing Hernandez of inappropriate conduct.

Ochoa herself says the harassment went on for five to six years. They contend they worked out a settlement with the city twice but nothing was ever completed.

Yet attorney Maribel Medina, who represents Lynwood, insists there was no deal.

The councilman himself has filed a claim against the city for essentially failing to clear him of the allegations and for damage to his reputation.
