Update: Fullerton PD Detonates Suspicious Device at Doorstep

(KNX 1070) - Police in Fullerton detonated a suspicious object found on the doorstep of a home.

A department spokesman tells KNX what happened this morning: they found what appeared to be a pipe like device on the doorstep of a residence and immediately began evacuating nearby residents.

A handful of residents on East Truslow Avenue near Lemon Drive had to leave their homes.

Officers will be clearing from the scene shortly, the Fullerton Police Department PIO tweeted.

That includes a bomb-disposal robot.

On Friday morning, the Fullerton Police Department PIO sent out a tweet to avoid the area of 400 block of East Truslow Avenue due to police activity as they investigate a suspicious device.

The tweetm said, "Officers have evacuated nearby residents as a precaution and the Orange County Bomb Squad has been called to assist in the investigation. More details to follow."
