(KNX 1070) -  As students return to their classes at Thousand Oaks high this morning, a well-known staffer is fighting for her life.

Police say she was deliberately run over by a teenager on campus.

Students return to Thousand Oaks High this morning after a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of deliberately running over a woman with a car at the school Friday night.

The woman works as an activities assistant for the school.  A GoFundMe page set-up to help with her medical expenses has already raised almost $30,000.

Ventura County sheriff's officials say the woman allegedly caught the teen stealing food from a concession stand during a basketball game at Thousand Oaks High.

Police say the woman stood in front of the boy's car and he accelerated and hit her, knocking her to the ground and running her over.

She suffered life-threatening injuries and is expected to undergo additional surgery today.
