December 14, 2018 - 11:53 am

(KNX 1070) - South Los Angeles will soon be home to a new permanent supportive housing complex designed to accommodate homeless veterans.

Located on South  Figueroa near MLK, the building will include 56 fully furnished studios and rooftop terraces with three top floor offices for supportive services or case management.

Mo Mohanna is with the development company Highridge Costa.

"We are a company that is committed to serve the members within our community that are in most need," he said.

Mayor Eric Garcetti said people can live with dignity.

"The community will embrace it as beautiful housing stable for people who are there," Garcetti said.

He says they have more than 3,600 permanent supportive housing units either in the pipeline or completed since voters approved HHH - the city’s billion-dollar bond measure which this project is also benefitting from.
