Several Terranea Resort Employees Allege Years of Sexual Harassment and Assault

October 18, 2018 - 2:02 pm

(KNX 1070) -  During her year at Terranea Resort, Jasmin Sanchez says she was sent sexually explicit text messages by a security manager who had been watching her on camera.

She says the man then cornered her in a room and groped her – an experience that affected her deeply.

A previous lawsuit filed by a former contract worker has since been settled with Terranea cleared of all ties to the suit, but several other female workers have come forward to say they’ve experienced harassment.

They didn’t sue because the statute of limitations expired.

In a statement, Terranea says it has a zero-tolerance policy toward any kind of harassment.

Several women claim to have suffered sexual harassment and assault while working at a luxury resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. One of them has filed a lawsuit.

The eight women, who worked at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, came forward Thursday morning with claims they've been targets of sexual harassment and other misconduct.

The resort has "vehemently" denied the allegations and says it has a "zero-tolerance policy" toward harassment of any kind.
