Several Hundred Dead Fish Wash up at Malibu Lagoon

August 27, 2018 - 10:38 am

(KNX 1070) - State Parks officials are investigating after several hundred dead fish washed up in Malibu Lagoon.

At this point there are a couple of working theories as to why the fish went belly up.

Superintendent Craig Sap with California State Parks Angeles District says the water's temperature has been around 82 or 83 degrees. He says some of the dead fish have been taken for analysis and the water is also being tested to see if something else is going on.

On Monday, crews will work to clear out the remaining dead fish from the lagoon.
