(KNX 1070) -- An American passenger involved in an incident with a flight attendant on a flight from Los Angeles to Taipei has died. The man made headlines when he demanded that the attendant wipe his butt in the airplane restroom.

According to Taiwan News, a lawyer for the man informed EVA Air of his client's death. The airline spent several months attempting to contact the man and tell him that he was barred from flying with the company again.

The attendant said at the time she was repulsed and spent the duration of the flight in the bathroom crying and vomiting, unable to rid herself of the man's smell.

The man, who was reportedly wheelchair bound, over 435 pounds, and had threated to relieve himself on the floor lest one of the attendants help him, died while on an extended vacation on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.

The all-female flight crew attempted to close the door to the bathroom, but the man reportedly demanded that it remain open. When the attendant prepared herself with several latex gloves, the man allegedly began to moan, and ask for the woman to go "deeper, deeper," even accusing her of not sufficiently cleaning him.

EVA Air has said it will refund the man's family for his unused airfare.
