( - Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death here in the U.S., and in any given year, approximately one in five adults experiences mental health issues. To combat the stigma of creating an open and honest conversation about mental health, we’re inviting you to join a discussion that’s long overdue.

On Sunday, September 9th, at 7am, we will broadcast a one-hour commercial-free special focusing on mental health and suicide prevention.

Guests include Grammy-winning musician Mike Shinoda, former NFL player Barret Robbins, the most decorated Olympian of all-time Michael Phelps, former professional wrestler and co-founder of the Concussion Legacy Foundation Dr. Chris Nowinski, and many more including music stars Alessia Cara, Charlie Puth, Bebe Rexha, members of Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and more. 

During the In-Depth show this week, KNX's Mike Simpson and Chris Sedens covered the story of a nine-year-old boy who committed suicide during the first week of school. The boy's mother said bullying was a factor in taking his own life. 

Mike and Chris were joined by Phyllis Alongi, the Clinical Director of the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide -- and an expert in the field of suicide-ology:
