LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Television producer Jill Blackstone was in custody Thursday on suspicion of murder of her deaf and partially blind sister in North Hollywood in 2015.

Blackstone was arrested on a murder warrant Wednesday night at a hospital in Baltimore according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Blackstone has worked as a producer on shows including "The Jerry Springer Show," "Divorce Court," `The Tony Danza Show" and "Family Court with Judge Penny."

Wendy Blackstone, 49, was found dead in the 12000 block of Landale Street in 2015, police said.

Los Angeles police say Jill drugged her sister, set the garage on fire, killing Wendy and two of her dogs; staging it as an accident. Homicide detectives believe the motive was Jill’s frustration of being forced to provide Wendy long-term care, as well as the associated financial hardship. She is currently in custody with the Baltimore Police Department awaiting extradition.
