Man Driving with Armenian Flag Shot and Wounded on Freeway

Police are investigating the shooting on the 14 and another on the 215.

LOS ANGELES (KNX1070) - Police are investigating two separate shootings on Southern California freeways.

It was moments of terror for a brother and sister from Arleta late Tuesday when someone started shooting at them late last night on the 14 in Santa Clarita. The car had an Armenia flag in its window and the victim thinks that's the reason. On Tuesday, thousands of Armenians marched to remember the 103rd anniversary of Armenian genocide

Harry Nalbondyun thinks it was a 45 caliber weapon used, one of the bullets hit his shoulder, grazed his neck and went out the passenger window.

On the 215, a man was shot while driving and says he doesn't know why he was attacked by someone in another car. The driver said he doesn't remember seeing the vehicle before it pulled up along side him. He also does not believe it was a case of road rage.

The driver suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. Two bullets also hit his car.  Investigators are hoping bullet fragments can help them track down the shooter. The car involved is reportedly an older brown or gold sedan.
