LOS ANGELES (KNX1070) - Officials cut the ribbon on a new state of the art soccer stadium in Exposition Park. They say it’ll give a big boost to the local economy.

L.A. City Councilman Curren Price says that’s because the Banc Of California stadium is more than just the home of the city’s second soccer team the LA Football Club. County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas says it’s going to contribute big to the local economy.

He says it’s created 4,500 jobs with 40 percent of them filled locally. Officials say it will also be open year round serving as a sports, entertainment, civic and cultural center with shops and dining.
