Inglewood, Clippers Officials Push to Build Team's Proposed Arena

June 12, 2018 - 1:56 pm

(KNX1070) - Inglewood officials and the L.A. Clippers are pushing hard to get their new arena built. They are hoping a bill will be passed that will keep opponents from holding up the project.

With the Rams’ new stadium going up in the background, Clippers executives, including owner Steve Ballmer and coach Doc Rivers, made it clear they want to get this arena project off the ground. They say it will bring thousands of jobs to the area if opponents don’t tie up the project and kill it, which is why they want legislation passed to streamline the environmental impact review period.
