First a Local Artist and Then a Vandal -- Trump's Walk of Fame Star Hit Again

September 20, 2018 - 1:19 pm

(KNX 1070) -- First a local artist put the star behind bars, now it's been vandalized with pink paint and the "f" word over Trump's name.

Thursday morning, a Los Angeles artist struck Donald Trump's star again -- this time putting the President's Hollywood Walk of Fame star, "behind bars."

Known as Plastic Jesus, the artist posted a video and photos on social media Thursday morning with the caption "Trump behind bars. Finally."

It's the latest installation on the controversial star by Jesus, who's also put up a mini border wall around the star and placed a cage filled with teddy bears on it, to protest the detention of kids forcibly separated from their parents at the border.

Trump's star was vandalized in 2016, and recently again in July, where the star was hacked to pieces by a pickaxe.

The star is maintained by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
