September 18, 2018 - 3:32 pm

(KNX 1070) -- An Encino man accused of threatening to kill journalists at the Boston Globe has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Grand jurors in Boston indicted Robert Chain on counts related to seven threatening phone calls he allegedly made to the Globe last month after the publication called on newspapers around the country to join in a coordinated editorial response to the Trump administration's attacks on the media.

An FBI agent said in an affidavit that Chain made about 14 calls to the Globe, including one in which the 68-year-old suspect allegedly said "You're the enemy of the people and we're going to kill every [EXPLETIVE> one of you.

Chain is awaiting arraignment and is reportedly being represented by his wife, who's an attorney in Los Angeles. She has not responded to our request for comment.
