(KNX 1070) - As part of a global effort, LAX workers protested at Terminal 4 Tuesday seeking better wages and work conditions.

Some of those who were protesting included the airport’s baggage handlers, security officers, cabin cleaners, and wheelchair attendants.

The union workers say they chose to demonstrate at Terminal 4 to push back against two airlines here.

The protest is part of 40 taking place at airports around the world. Organizers say they want to bring attention to some airport workers who are barely making enough to cover basic necessities

KNX spoke with Tim Maddox, who works at LAX. He tells KNX these demonstrations won't just be in Los Angeles: they're hitting several major airports in the US and around the globe in 12 other countries.
