Crews Fight Off Small Brush Fire in Hollywood Hills

(KNX 1070) - Los Angeles fire crews have made quick work of a small brush fire in the Hollywood Hills.

It broke out just before 7 a.m. Friday morning near Mount Olympus and Electra Drives.

It sent up a very visible plume of smoke, but helicopters were able to hit it with water drops.  Los Angeles City Fire estimated it burned less than an acre, and the cause is not known.

Los Angeles City Fire tells KNX that a quarter of an acre has burned and helicopters were hitting the flames.
