CA Democrat Party Boycott of In-N-Out Chain Over

(KNX 1070) -- Any kind of official boycott of In-N-Out by Democrats in California is now over.

Eric Bauman, the head of the California Democratic Party, tells the Sacramento Bee the party raised a lot of money last week after he put out a tweet calling for a boycott when it was revealed the fast-food chain donated tens of thousands of dollars to the California Republican Party.

Bauman says he's planning to treat his staff to some burgers — at In-N-Out.

Last week, California's Democratic Party chairman were calling for a boycott of the beloved fast-food chain after the company donated $25,000 to the state's Republican Party.

Heart-broken Democrats are reacting on social media, with one tweeting "This is going to be the hardest breakup I’ll ever have to go through," and another who said, "This is the best California publicity Shake Shack could ever ask for."

But In-N-Out says it has made equal contributions to both Democratic and Republican political action committees in California in 2018.

The executive vice president says, for example,  In-N-Out and its foundations contribute millions of dollars to hundreds of organizations to prevent child abuse, human trafficking, and substance addiction.
