HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Police today circulated security images of a man who burglarized a home in the Hollywood Hills and who may have targeted other residences.

The images of the man and his car were taken at the scene of a burglary that occurred on Oct. 3 in the 1600 block of Woods Drive, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

"This area has seen an increase in the number of residential burglaries in recent weeks," according to an LAPD statement. "The suspect parked in front of the victim's home and pried open a sliding glass door with a concealed crowbar. He then entered the residence and removed jewelry and watches before fleeing in his vehicle."

The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic or white man. He drove a 2007 or similar year gray or silver BMW with a blue convertible top. The car had a black or dark blue paper plate with yellow writing on it.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Detective Patrick Aluotto at (213) 972-2929, or (877) LAPD-247.
