(KNX 1070) - The family of a French photographer, who is also a Los Angeles resident, is begging for the public’s help.

There is a $25,000 reward being offered in this case.

The photographer was mowed down outside a Los Angeles club last month and authorities are trying to find the hit-and-run driver. The hit-and-run happened outside the Avalon near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.

Corentin Villemeur had been working inside the club and as he walked across the street, he was hit by a 2002 Acura.  LAPD Detective Connie White tells KNX reporter Jon Baird:

"He has a lot of recovery to do," she said.

His mother says he has been hovering between life and death for the past month, saying "nobody deserves this and especially him."

Police echo that, saying Mr. Villemeur didn’t deserve this and was not involved in anything that may have happened in the club before he was run down in front of the club.

Authorities are looking for a 30-year-old Hispanic man with short hair, a goatee, wearing a red hoodie with a distinctive white letter A on the front and back, and a female, Hispanic bleached blonde.
