June 26, 2019 - 5:00 pm

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police today released images of a man and woman suspected in thefts at stores in Long Beach and elsewhere.

Long Beach police say the unidentified suspects -- both believed to be between 45 and 50 years old -- entered a business about 4 p.m. on May 31 in the 4200 block of East Carson Street "and stole multiple items, including hair appliances and miscellaneous cosmetics." About 5:45 p.m. the same day, they stole similar items from a store in the 7400 block of Carson Boulevard, according to investigators.

Surveillance video showed them grabbing merchandise and concealing it under their clothing, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

"In both instances, the suspects were then seen exiting the store without paying for the concealed items," according to a police statement.

The suspects made their getaway in a newer-model black Cadillac Escalade.

The woman is suspected in previous thefts at other stores in Los Angeles and Orange counties, police said.

Anyone with information about the crimes or suspects was urged to call LBPD Burglary Detective Daniel Martinez at 562-570-7392.
