Even days later President Trump is still being accused of making a crude gesture to astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch.

Friday, the president was speaking with the pair, flanked by Vice President Pence, and his daughter Ivanka, when he told the astronauts they were "amazing people; they're conducting the first-ever female spacewalk to replace an exterior part of the space station."

Meir responded to the president's characterization of the historic moment by correcting Trump, to say, "We don't want to take too much credit because there have been many other female spacewalkers before," Meir said. "This is the first time that there's been two women outside at the same time."The first female spacewalk took place in 1984 and 14 more have since followed.

Trump then appears to react to being fact-checked by "fixing his hair" while also raising his middle finger.

The moment went viral on Twitter, with users assuming the president was flipping the women the bird.
