San Francisco police have arrested a suspect seen on video violently attacking a woman and attempting to get into her apartment building. The incident happened Sunday at around 1:40 am in the downtown Embarcadero neighborhood.

Austin James Vincent, 25, is being held at the San Francisco County Jail on false imprisonment, battery, and attempted robbery charge, according to police.

The video shows a woman fighting off her attacker (a homeless man) as a front desk concierge frantically calls police, and then jumps in to help the woman.

SFGate has identified the building as the Watermark condos on Beale and Bryant streets.

According to KRON4, the suspect suffered “nerve damage and bruising on her hands and arm, but is happy to be alive,” according to KRON4.

“He was mentally insane and tried to rub me as well as forcing me to let him into our building,” Paneez Kosarianfard said on Twitter on Aug. 13.
