A Rhode Island family's surveillance camera captured the moment their two-year-old son rushed to hug pizza delivery man Ryan Catterson.

Who would have expected that a simple hug from a toddler would mean so much?

"As Ryan was walking away, my son just bolted past me, ran out the door, and put his arms up and just gave Ryan a big hug," Sheely told WJAR. "Ryan just leaned into it, was really cute, really sweet. My son even tried to give him a kiss."

As it turns out, Catterson had unexpectedly lost his 16-year-old daughter just a week before.

Lindsey Sheely shared the touching video of her son Cohen on her Facebook page, and the video went viral.

Catterson caught wind of the video and reached out to Sheely.

"After losing my daughter this past week, it touched me because it was like she was there," Catterson told ABC6 (WLNE).

"It's going to be tough not going to be able to hug her again," Catterson said.

"I believe in divine appointments and know that Ryan was the one to deliver our pizza for a reason," Sheely wrote on her post.  "I couldn't believe that this guy was going through the most devastating thing, but his life was still going on. His life had to go forward, and he still had to work and to do his job," Sheely said to WJAR. "You never know what people are going through. This is such a good example of that."

Sheely shared a GoFundMe at the bottom of her video's caption to help cover Catterson's daughter's funeral costs. For more information, click here.
