Cal Fire says progress has been stopped on a nearly 100-acre fire burning east of San Diego called the Sawday Fire.

The fire started this morning around the Sawday Truck Trail and Littlepage Road .near Highway 78 in the Ramona area.

It spread quickly due to gusty winds and there were evacuations, but firefighters say an aggressive attack helped them get the upper hand.

One building has been destroyed.

By Friday afternoon another brush fire prompted a new round of evacuations.  It's called the Miller Fire, and it's near "Harrah's Resort Southern California" in Valley Center.

An evacuation center has been set up at Valley Center Community Center.
