Santa Ana PD Releases Photo of Suspect in Assault Case of 15-Yr-Old Girl

June 11, 2019 - 4:52 pm

In a shocking case in Santa Ana, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly violated by a man who broke into a home and climbed into the girl’s bed while she was sleeping.

She woke up and started screaming. Her mother ran into the room and saw the man run out of the house to some nearby railroad tracks.

“He was rubbing my stomach in a circular motion under my shirt, then touched me on top of my private area on top of my shorts,” the 15-year-old girl told CBS LA.

Detectives initially investigated the case as it possibly related to a brutal rape of a 17-year-old Santa Ana girl, due to their proximity to railroad tracks.  However, Santa Ana police said Tuesday that the incidents are not related — there was no stranger abduction involved in the attack on the older teen.

The suspect is described as a tall, lean build, male Hispanic with buzzed hair. The suspect had a beard and was wearing glasses. He was wearing a red flannel shirt and dark jeans. The suspect appeared to be transient and had an odor of alcohol.

Santa Ana Police Department Detectives are advising the public of this incident as the suspect has not been identified and is not in custody. Detectives are asking for anyone with information to contact Detective Julio Gallardo at 714-245-8378, or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
