Ralphs is announcing the use of plexiglass partitions at cash registers as the coronavirus outbreak continues in SoCal.

The partitions will be installed later this week to promote social distancing, according to a press release from the company.

There will be a partition at every check lane including the pharmacy counters and Starbucks registers within the next several weeks, according to the company.

Ralphs will install educational floor decals to promote physical distancing at check lanes and other counters.

Ralphs employees will wear gloves and masks.

Kroger's, the parent company, will also have plexiglass partitions.

The company also said it is continuously cleaning the commonly used areas like the cashier stations, self-checkouts, shelves, food service counters with daily sanitation practices.
