Tyson Foods Recalling Over 39,000 Pounds of Frozen Chicken Patties Due to Possible Contamination

(1010 WINS) — Tyson Foods is recalling over 39,000 pounds of frozen chicken patties due to possible contamination.

The recall affects 26. oz resealable plastic bags of Weaver Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat.

Tyson is issuing the recall because it says consumers have reported “extraneous material” in the patties but did not name what the material was.

No illnesses or injuries have yet been reported.

The affected patties were made on Jan. 31, 2019 and have a best if used by date of Jan. 31, 2020.

Consumers can look for the code “P-13456” on their packages to find out if their food is affected.

Consumers are urged to throw out any affected packages or return them to where they purchased the product.

The patties were sent nationwide, including to New York.
