The NBA continues to break news about more and more cases of positive coronavirus tests among its players, staff and faculty. The latest news is that two Lakers players, who remain anonymous at this point, have both tested positive.

The two positive results come from a batch of 14 tests that were administered on Wednesday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Brad Turner of the LA Times. The remainder of the players will be tested as a result of this news. Both players, according to a press release from the team, are asymptomatic.

The last game the Lakers played before the season was called off came against the Nets, another team with an outbreak of positive tests. Star Kevin Durant, who has been unable to play the entire season due to a recovery from injury, was one of the afflicted players.

LeBron James, who has been under self-quarantine since the league's suspension, gave fans an update through social media on his status during the hiatus from NBA action.

This story will be updated further as more news becomes available.
