The first demonstration in downtown Los Angeles today will start at the Hall of Justice, where people will leave roses in honor of the first victim of COVID-19 in the L.A. County jails and of all of those who've died at the hands of law enforcement the last 20 years.

Many people who left roses wanted to support the protests but were unable to demonstrate.

Organizers of the event left dozens of bunches of roses.
