A woman in Pomona used her pure adrenaline to fight off a knife attack in her family's insurance store on Sept. 5. Fortunately, the woman was not hurt, but after a week on the run, Friday, the man was arrested

Concepcion Escalante was working in the office on a Saturday, when she says a man came in demanding cash. "I don't recommend anybody to do it, but it's also one of those things where you don't know how you're going to react," Escalante told NBC news

The man left the store initially but returned with a fury. According to police the suspect has been on a six-week-long robbery spree in and around the city.

Officials say the man allegedly robbed cell phone stores, gas stations, and an insurance office where a security camera caught images of a woman fighting him off as he held a knife. That video and descriptions by other victims led detectives to believe it was the same person.. and that he was a Pomona resident. All the crimes took place from late July until just last week.

"If you'd have asked me this before Saturday, what would you do if someone came in with a knife? I'd be like, 'Yeah no, I'll give you all the money. You take it, you run,'" she said. "At the moment, you don't think you're going to fight back. It was a different feeling."
