As of Monday, there have been five confirmed cases of coronavirus in the U.S.

On Sunday, LA County saw its first confirmed case of the coronavirus.

The person was a returning traveler from Wuhan in China, according to the LA County Department of Public Health.

Also on Sunday, there was another confirmed U.S. case in Arizona.

The CDC had some recommendations for the public.

"While the immediate risk of this new virus to the American public is believed to be low at this time, everyone can do their part to help us respond to this emerging public health threat," the CDC wrote on its website.

"For everyone: It’s currently flu and respiratory disease season and CDC recommends getting vaccinated, taking everyday preventive actions to stop the spread of germs, and taking flu antivirals if prescribed."

LA County Department of Public Health said in a press release the infected person presented themselves for care once they noticed they weren't feeling well and currently receiving medical treatment.

There is no immediate threat to the public, the department said.

The person is confirmed to have the coronavirus by the CDC.

Public Health officials are working to identify people who may have had close contact with the person.

Another confirmed case was reported in the OC over the weekend. There were other cases in Washington state and Illinois in the last week.
