A man allegedly jumped to his death Sunday night at LAX.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday night.

The man has been identified as an airport employee. There's no word on why it happened.

Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department tells KNX it was first reported as a possible accident with the man plunging from an upper level of the Tom Bradley Terminal onto the Customs level below:

"We received a call of a reported fall in the Customs level at the LAX airport. When firefighters responded, they found a 27-year-old male who had suffered grave injuries," she said.

Soon after that, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
