Magnitude 3.2 Earthquake Hits Los Angeles

A magnitude-3.2 earthquake hit Los Angeles near Simi Valley at 2:45 on Sunday.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake happened about a mile outside of Simi Valley, seven miles from Santa Clarita and seven miles from Stevenson Ranch. 

There has been one earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater over the past 10 days. 

An average of five earthquakes between the magnitudes of 3.0 and 4.0 occur each year in the Greater Los Angeles area, the Los Angeles Times reports

Those who felt the earthquake are encouraged to report their findings to the USGS
