On Monday, the sites in the Pasadena Unified School District had to be shut down after a kitchen employee was possibly linked to coronavirus.

The seven school locations will reopen later this week so the kitchen can be properly sanitized and cleaned.

Beginning earlier this month, LAUSD students can grab a meal through the LAUSD Grab & Go Food Centers, which will be serving meals at various locations across Los Angeles.

LAUSD says it's distributed more than 2.3 million meals to students and their parents in its first week and a half of the shutdown.

There are two meals per person per car and no one will be turned away. People already began driving through the LAUSD Food Centers.

The school plans to serve at least several hundred thousand meals per day, five days a week.

The centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Schools in LAUSD have been canceled til at least May due to the coronavirus pandemic.
