LAPD Looking for Additional Victims of Man Arrested in Multiple Alleged Rapes

Detectives from LAPD's West Valley Division have opened their investigation to find further victims of a Van Nuys man under arrest for raping multiple women. 

Omar Talley, a 22, a self-proclaimed social media influencer, model, and nightclub promoter is currently in custody and charged with three counts of rape, two counts of oral copulation and one count of forcible acts of sexual penetration. 

Talley moved from New Jersey to California a few years ago, and was living in the Lake Balboa ara of the San Fernando Valley at the time of the crimes. He was a club-goer in Hollywood and West Hollywood, where he would befriend women in their early 20s. He would gain the women's trust, then order a rideshare car service to take them to his house for an "after Party" Once they were at his home, Omar would allegedly rape them. 

"It appears Omar Talley would be charming just before the sexual act, then change his demeanor and force the women to perform sexual acts against their will, state Detective Katherin Gosser. 

The first alleged assault Talley is charged with took place on Feb. 2 at Talley’s home, while the second occurred on April 4 at a Hollywood-area after party.

Public records show the suspect was arrested July 11 and charged on July 15. He is being held on $1.6 million bail and he is due in court on Friday.

LAPD officials released a photo of Talley in hopes of identifying possible additional victims.
